I get this question a lot: what's the difference between HydroDermabrasion and regular microdermabrasion? The short answer is that with regular microdermabrasion you clean the skin. With HydroDermabrasion you clean and feed it at the same time — and then push everything deeper with an oxygen infusion.
I use the Glownar PureHydro system — a 2-in-1 device with two chambers. One holds the clean serum, the other collects everything coming out of your skin — dead cells, congestion, buildup. You can watch the second jar fill up during the treatment.
02
Oxygen infusion
After the cleansing pass I use an oxygen gun to push the serums deeper into the skin. The skin is freshly opened at this point — the molecules travel much further than they would on their own.
03
Customized Zemits serums
I choose from four professional serums based on what your skin needs that day — sometimes one, sometimes a combination.
Vitamin C
Brightening, uneven tone, antioxidant protection
Hyaluronic Acid
Deep hydration — travels further after exfoliation
Glycolic Acid
Texture, fine lines, overall skin renewal
Salicylic Acid
Congestion, blackheads, acne-prone skin
04
Treatment mask
Alginate or hydrogel depending on what your skin needs — to seal all the active ingredients in.
05
Red LED light therapy
We close with red light — collagen stimulation in the deeper layers, reduced inflammation, anti-aging and post-acne support.
Results
What to expect
Results show up after the very first session. Skin looks cleaner, brighter, and genuinely hydrated — not that tight squeaky-clean feeling, but actually soft and nourished.
With monthly sessions the changes build: firmer skin over time, visibly smaller pores, more even tone, post-inflammatory pigmentation that gradually fades. If your skincare has stopped absorbing properly — that's usually a buildup issue. This treatment clears it.
Before & After — glowing, hydrated skin
Before & After — pores cleared, blackheads gone
Before & After — clear pores, radiant skin
Before & After — forehead dehydration lines softened
HydroDermabrasion works really well for a lot of different skin concerns.
Dull or tired-looking skin
Dehydrated skin — even if it's oily on the surface
Enlarged or congested pores and blackheads
Early fine lines and loss of firmness
Post-acne marks and post-inflammatory pigmentation
Skin that feels like it's stopped responding to home care
Recovery after long flights or travel
Preparation for a wedding or special event
A note on who should wait: active inflamed acne — get that under control first. Compromised skin barrier — restore first. For everything else, including rosacea without active inflammation, pregnancy, antibiotics, or your period — no issue at all.
Before every session I look at your skin and we have a quick chat. I adjust everything to what your face actually needs that day.

FAQ
HydraFacial is a brand name for a hydrodermabrasion-style treatment. The concept is identical. At Beauty Studio by Hanna we use the Glownar PureHydro system with Zemits professional serums, plus an additional oxygen infusion step. If you've had a HydraFacial and loved it, you'll love this.
This is one of the best treatments for dehydrated skin. You're hydrating while you exfoliate — active ingredients go in exactly when the skin is most ready to receive them. Also excellent after a long flight.
Yes, it works well for sensitive skin. I adjust the suction level and choose serums accordingly. Nothing about this is one-setting-fits-all.
Absolutely — Charleston summers are tough on skin. Great before a vacation and great for recovery after. SPF every day after, always.
Not at all. It feels like a warm gentle vacuum on the skin. Very relaxing.
Yes, and it's a great choice. Book 4–5 days before. No downtime, no redness. The glow is immediate and keeps getting better.
Once a month is ideal. The results are cumulative — each session builds on the last.
